Where it too often gets stuck is commercial translation: research organisations need stronger commercialisation capability, technologies need multidisciplinary teams and iterative customer validation, and scientist-innovators need more straightforward pathways for private sector engagement. What excites me most is the global impact potential at hand. Most Indian agricultural innovation is designed for #smallholder systems and the real constraints they face, and we have conviction in the opportunity for science-led #AgTech from India to improve livelihoods across South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa and beyond - if it has the support and pathways to get there.
