What we’re looking for: * 15+ years of experience in Government Affairs, Government Relations, Public Policy or Corporate Affairs, preferably in e-commerce, technology, retail, logistics or other consumer-facing businesses. * Strong relationships and proven engagement experience with state governments, senior bureaucrats, political stakeholders, regulators and law enforcement agencies. * Experience in policy advocacy, regulatory affairs and navigating complex government and regulatory environments. * Ability to proactively identify regulatory and policy developments that could impact business operations and develop appropriate engagement strategies. * Proven experience in managing sensitive situations, government-related escalations, crisis management and business continuity. * Ability to work closely with internal teams across Legal, Operations, Compliance, Public Policy and Business to resolve ground-level challenges and enable business growth. * Experience in building strategic government partnerships and driving institutional engagement at the state and regional levels. Where it too often gets stuck is commercial translation: research organisations need stronger commercialisation capability, technologies need multidisciplinary teams and iterative customer validation, and scientist-innovators need more straightforward pathways for private sector engagement. What excites me most is the global impact potential at hand. Most Indian agricultural innovation is designed for #smallholder systems and the real constraints they face, and we have conviction in the opportunity for science-led #AgTech from India to improve livelihoods across South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa and beyond - if it has the support and pathways to get there. That's the gap Beanstalk AgTech's new India practice is built around.
