Head of IndiaBeanstalk AgTech
#India has built one of the world's largest and most sophisticated agricultural research ecosystems, across public institutes, universities and science-led startups, and in 2025 the Government approved a โน1 lakh crore R&D scheme to push it further. Where it too often gets stuck is commercial translation: research organisations need stronger commercialisation capability, technologies need multidisciplinary teams and iterative customer validation, and scientist-innovators need more straightforward pathways for private sector engagement.
What excites me most is the global impact potential at hand. Most Indian agricultural innovation is designed for #smallholder systems and the real constraints they face, and we have conviction in the opportunity for science-led #AgTech from India to improve livelihoods across South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa and beyond - if it has the support and pathways to get there.
That's the gap Beanstalk AgTech's new India practice is built around. We're starting with a two-year program, funded by a global philanthropic foundation, to build the commercialisation capability and international partnerships Indian innovators need.
Now we need someone great to lead it!
We're #hiring a Head of India in Delhi to build our founding team and shape what Beanstalk becomes there. I can't wait to work with them.
