Core Systems EngineerMayastram Exchange
12 algorithms inside a crypto derivatives exchange. Most people see a price chart. Few know what runs underneath.
At Mayastram Exchange, we are building India’s INR-settled crypto perpetuals platform. Every order touches these ideas before it touches the order book.
Order
→ Single-Writer Sequencer: one thread decides the order of every event, so two orders can never race. (LMAX architecture)
→ Idempotency Keys: a retried request is processed once, never twice. Your order doesn’t double on a bad network.
→ Token Bucket Rate Limiting: every API key gets a fair share; no one can flood the market.
Match
→ Price-Time Priority: best price first; at the same price, whoever came first.
→ Self-Trade Prevention: your buy never fills your own sell.
Remember
→ Event Sourcing: we store every event, not just the final balance. Any account can be rebuilt from history.
→ Append-Only Log: write first, apply after. A crash mid-trade can be replayed exactly.
→ Replay Hash: replay the full history and the final state must match to the last paisa.
Protect
→ Median Index Price: the mark price comes from several venues, so one bad feed can’t liquidate you.
→ Insurance Fund + Auto-Deleveraging: when a position goes bankrupt, losses are covered in a fixed order, never by surprise.
→ Signed Payouts: every withdrawal is cryptographically signed and approved by two people.
Survive
→ Hot Standby with Fencing: if the main engine stops, a standby takes over, and the old one can never write again.
In a fintech, a trade isn’t just a feature. It’s someone’s money. That’s why we don’t use the word “probably” in our design.
We’re building our core engineering team. If you love Rust and systems where every paisa must reconcile, let’s talk: careers@mayastram.exchange
