Technical Sourcing ManagerOrigin
We build general-purpose autonomous robots for US construction sites, and our robots are full of electronics: motor drivers, controllers, sensors, PCBAs, batteries and wire harnesses. I'm looking for someone who can sit with our engineers, talk specs, and then go out and get those parts reliably.
What you'll do:
- Qualify electronic and electrical components against specifications with our engineering team, and propose alternates when parts go long-lead, single-source or end-of-life
- Find, qualify and audit vendors, and build an approved vendor list with 3–5 qualified suppliers for each critical part
- Run RFQs, negotiate, place orders and follow through to delivery, across India, China and other regions
- Work with EMS partners on PCB fab, PCBA and harnesses
- Handle the other sourcing a startup needs too: tools, test equipment, prototypes and one-off buys
What I'm looking for:
- An electronics, electrical, mechatronics or instrumentation engineer, or deep hands-on electronics experience
- 4+ years in technical sourcing or procurement of electronic and electrical components
- Hands-on global sourcing, including suppliers outside India
- Comfort reading datasheets, BOMs and drawings
- Working knowledge of imports, Incoterms and commercial terms
- Bonus: experience in robotics, EV, automation or industrial hardware
